Smt Bhagyashri Kulkarni is a very well-known personality of Dhule. She is a commerce graduate.She has been involved in many activities from her school and college life.
She is an artist ,a poetess and a great social worker. She have received many awards in acting, elocution & poetry writing.
From past 20 years she has been overseeing the work of administration department in her
hospital along with her husband Mr.Abhay Kulkarni, who is a Pediatrician. She started doing a lot of social work with an intent of how to alleviate people's pain. She has been doing this work since 2011. Her happiness lies in making people smoke and happy keeping this in mind her social work pressure increased and she started her own organisation by the name “Snehadeep
Pratishthan” ten years ago. Here she work to help patients from leprosy hospital & old
people from old age homes, perform & arrange operations as per requirement, distribute clothes, food, baby swings & milk powders etc.
She works especially for homeless and mentally ill people.ones she gets the news of any person in distress and is homeless she provides them help immediately She finds them while roaming in her city and the surrounding areas who is homeless and mentally unstable. Most of the times these people even don’t have proper clothes to wear. She help them to arrange clothes and food for them .It's a tough job as these mentally ill people are in some much depression that they dont trust anyone around There are lots of challenges that she faces building their confidence. They had faces so many bad experience, they even don’t allow anyone to come near them.
The most important thing is to get them admitted in a hospital by giving them assurance.
Bhagyashri is doing a very tough job convening these people who are left on the road side to suffer and left to die with pain. The pains they faced in life makes them so careless and they can't really feel the physical pain .Sometimes there are burn wounds on their body. Many times, they even don’t realize that they are pregnant, or their hands or legs are fractured. After the necessary treatments Bhagyashri Kulkarni ensure they get a permanent and safe dwelling place to live. Unfortunately, number of women patients are higher. Till date she has helped almost 25 men and women.
Small children and women lose their mental stability due to personal issue in their
life. To help reduce the mental stress in children caused due to studies she does their
counselling free of cost. Also, she provide free consultation to those who go for divorce due to family arguments. Beside working for mentally ill people.During the summer season when water supplies gets low Bhagyashri arranges water tankers from her personal expenses to the rural areas facing scarcity of water from last eight years.
She is also active in field of literature right from her college days. It involves story
writing, poetry, and fine writing. She was also involved in column writing called “Maziya
Mana” in daily newspaper “Lokmat” for the past one year. It received a good public
response. Her two-anthology named, “Sonpahat” & “Onjalitley Moti” are ready while third one named “Gondan” is on the way for publication. “Onjalitley Moti”, has received many awards, one being “V.D.Savarkar” award received from Sudhir Moghe .She also organize shows by name “Onjalitley Moti”.
She received numerous awards for her social work, like “Maharashtra Gauvrav”,
“Nariratna Puraskar” , Ahilyabai Holkar” award from government. She dedicateall her awards to the people she work for brings back their confidence motivates them to come out of depression and live the life given by God happily.
